My name is Dominique, and I am the travel designer behind The Lady and Her Compass Travel — a boutique travel brand built on heart, elegance, and the belief that every journey has the power to change us.

I am not a woman who was born fearless.

I am not someone who grew up hopping on planes without a second thought.

For more than twenty‑five years, I avoided flying entirely.

But courage has a way of blooming quietly.

And travel has a way of calling us into the life we were meant to live.

💎 How Travel Changed Me

My story didn’t begin with a passport full of stamps.

It began with fear — and the slow, steady unraveling of it.

The first time I flew as an adult, I cried while booking the ticket.

I kept my eyes closed the entire flight.

I begged God for smooth air and thanked Him for every moment of stillness.

But I made it.

And something inside me shifted.

The next flight was a little easier.

The one after that, easier still.

And somewhere along the way — without fanfare, without a dramatic breakthrough — fear loosened its grip.

I didn’t become fearless overnight.

I became someone who kept going.

Someone who kept expanding.

Someone who learned that courage often arrives quietly, in moments we don’t even notice until they’ve already passed.

That transformation is the heart of my brand.

Inside me lives an elegant lady — the one who sees beauty, who feels deeply, who believes in wonder.

But I’m also the girl in lounge pants who once dreamed of a glamorous life and ended up with a happy one.

And that duality is my compass.
